Warming Up...

from several days off. This weekend Greg took some teens from church on a retreat and I tagged along to help my friend who was hosting us. Though there was no stamping on the trip it wasn't without some stamping fun. While the teens were hiking, we spent a good part of Saturday at a stamp show south of Buffalo. We got to have lunch with Lisa Kind and Cheryl Rowley, I got the chance to meet the kind folks at Motivet and Our Daily Bread and we just may have come home with a few goodies ;). We returned early enough yesterday that I had some time to stamp up a few cards.

To prime the pump I started with a simple card using some new SU items that haven't seen any love yet.

I had to have this Awash with Leaves set when I saw it. My color palette is inspired by fall and uses the new colors Pear Pizzazz and Peach Parfait, along with chocolate chip. The only non-SU item I used is the polka dot embossing folder. This card came together quickly and would be easy to do in different colors to make a gift set. Note to self...make up some sets for Christmas!

Tonight we have high school freshman orientation for our oldest son. I am trying not to freak out! How on earth is this possible? I have to stop blinking!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.
