Kind Words

Last week Verve had a sale and it was just the push I needed to get a couple of long wanted items. My package arrived yesterday and instead of letting them lay around for months like I am known to do, I went right to work. The sentiments in the Kind Words set are wonderful and I like how they can become the focal point.

For my design, I started with a scrap of Graphic 45 designer paper and built up from there. I am resolved to use up supplies I already own so I used up some of my retired SU groovy guava paper. I like how the bold black sentiment stands out on the otherwise mellow card. The ink color on the flowers matches a bit better in person.

My CHA samples for Stampavie had me doing a lot of coloring. Although I wouldn't call this a clean and simple card, it is far simpler than what I have been working on. Mixin' it up is a good thing!

Tracy,
Is today your birthday too? So is mine! I have been so enjoying your cards lately. I really like the Penny for Your Thoughts and Kind Words. The sentiments are awesome. I will have to make myself one! lol
