Merci Buckets!!

Fontastic...part deux. I am either really behind or really early with this fall/teacher card. I'm sticking with really early, LOL!! This background really does scream teacher at some point. My other thought was that the cowboy set from SU would be perfect as some of the letters remind me of branding iron letters for a ranch. Alas, I do not own the cowboy set so I pass that task on to someone else.
This card was fun to make, I am really enjoying watercoloring. I love the way the color glides across watercolor paper. In this case I watercolored on a piece of Fabriano Mediovalis notecard. I messed up a card the other day but the paper is so thick I turned it over and salvaged it for this project. (hey Sue...aren't you proud of me for not throwing it away??!!) I stamped the image in basic brown and then used watercolor crayons with my aquapainter. The main image is matted with a piece of chocolate chip cardstock. The Fontastic is stamped on close to cocoa using chocolate chip ink and I also used the Linen BG in close to cocoa for added dimension but the camera has a hard time picking up Linen.
I don't know if I am the only one that says "merci buckets" but it came to mind immediately when I painted the bucket of apples. I used my mini casual Karen Foster Snap stamps to create the words and then layered with oval punches. I also used copper brads and chocolate grosgrain. The other color of cardstock here is ruby red.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!
