B Tracks

Remember B tracks?? That was the side of a record (you know...those black vinyl things??) that was mostly filler for the more popular side A?? Well, I have not had time to stamp the last couple of days so you get a B track today! Earlier in the week I said I had made a bunch of cards, some good and some not so good. These aren't bad, just kinda plain. I was playing around with this Cuttlebug embossing folder. I love the look of the folder but I can't get it to translate to a card I really like. They can't all be home runs!
Card 1: Vintage Violet card stock embossed and then silver encore pad swirled around it with a stipple brush. I used a silver leafing pen on the edges. The panel is adhered to a mellow moss card base. The sentiment from Happy Harmony is stamped onto an oval mounted over a Designer Label Punch and tied with silver organdy ribbon.
Card 2: Vellum embossed and colored with markers on the backside (rose red, regal rose, certainly celery, lavender lace, summer sun). Mounted over a certainly celery base with pink brads I got at the Dollar Tree. I like this one better than the first and it may be a nice idea for a set of cards with various color card bases. Just plain note cards, no text.
I hope to have time to stamp tomorrow but the boys are begging to go swimming at the Y and I will surely comply.

Well, I like ém :0) The saying really adds to the black one, and makes it personal. I like the colors in the second one. Sure looks like you've been having fun with the cuttlebug!!

Wow! I think your "B tracks" are better than a lot of my "A tracks". Very pretty! TFS!

I just bought these two embossing folders. I hope I can make some cards as nice as these.
