A second post for today! I thought I would post my card for today's sketch challenge on SCS. I had seen a butterfly on acetate that Stampintrublu posted and it sparked an idea. I stamped 2 paisleys (Polka Dots and Paisley set) onto acetate and cut them out, used a light blue Sharpie on the reverse sides to color in the outer parts. It is very subtle but adds just a touch of color to the acetate. I stamped another paisley onto certainly celery and cut it out twice. I used the reverse side of the one I stamped since the other one wasn't stamped to match. I cut the celery portions out and stamped them with the Paisley BG. The white brads are over a 1/4" circle punched out of barely banana. Using card stock for the center of the wings hides the brads and the dimensionals used to mount them. The body, antennae and tail are hand drawn with a close to cocoa marker. I used a so saffron brad for his head and bashful blue brads on the corners to mimic the dots on the paisley designer paper. I used the CM circle cutter for my circles. There is piercing around the barely banana circle and the dots on the bashful blue card are from the PD&P set stamped in brocade blue. This was a fun card but not one I would want to reproduce in mass quantities. I have some chalk markers I bought awhile ago that I have yet to use and I think I could make the wings look bright and totally different. If I have time later I will try that out.

Too darn cute Tracy. I love to see people using stamped images in ways they weren't intended. Wish I had a good eye for that sort of stuff. Love it!
