I got this really cute card from a friend last week, thanking me for a meal we provided when she had a baby. It struck me as a very clean and simple design so I saved it my pile of things to try.
This has been a tough week around our house and my stamping inspiration has taken a hit. I have little desire or motivation to stamp. I would much rather put in the 5 hour A&E version of Pride and Prejudice and eat a big bowl of ice cream. When I find myself in this place it seems the best thing to do is to CASE an idea or even duplicate one of my previous designs, the creativity is not so important and it can jump start me again. So, I pulled out that card and made my own version.
I created the scallop using the slit punch and my hand held Fiskars flower punch , it looks kinda soft and lacy. A white gel pen added some dots to the scallop. The white scallop oval is a Marvy Mega size and I stamped the words in chocolate chip ink, added rose red dots along the border and punched out a rose red flower with the Spring Flower Bouquet punch. The center of the flower is a brown mini brad and the oval was then mounted with dimenisonals.
Whaddya think??

Way to go ... Love the card you did. I sure hope things improve for you. I wish I had something funny to cheer you or something profound to help but all that keeps repeating in my head is *Be still and know that I am God.* After that great card you did things are bound to be better soon.
