ATC Swap

I was invited to participate in Jen's (genie1314) ATC swap and our cards needed to be postmarked by last Friday. I think I mentioned before that I was unable to participate the first 2 times I was asked and kinda kicked myself for it. I promised myself that if invited again I would say yes no matter what. I signed up for 2 spots. I had never done one before and the small space was a challenge for me but fun as well.
This is the first one I did, using Heartfelt Thanks. I chose to use cranberry crisp and truly thyme card stock which posed a problem when I went to ink up the stamp. SU did not release markers in the In Colors so I had to carefully use the corner of the ink pads to ink up the stamps. But I was determined to see it through no matter what and am glad I did. I highlighted the edges with burgundy and artichoke markers. The outline flower was stamped first in basic brown and I needed to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the solid flower placed correctly. I used the shimmer ivory I keep raving about as well. There are piercings in the corners and the sentiment "for you" is from the Fancy Flexible Phrases set in the Winter Mini. I ran the truly thyme card stock base through the Cuttlebug Textile folder and rubbed it with vanilla craft ink.
The other ATC I did is radically different than this one and I will share it later. I am hoping the swaps come in the mail later this week.
Thanks for visiting.
