Sketch Challenge

I found some Basic Grey Lilykate paper at my LSS last week and decided I would build my SCS sketch challenge card from there. The card is blush blossom and has the swirl stamp from Doodle That stamped over it and because it is so subtle the camera doesn't pick it up much. The BG paper has a worn bluish background and plain white seemed too stark so I made a faux linen piece using bashful blue, old olive and close to cocoa. I stamped the Doodle This flower onto the faux linen and again onto a scrap of the Lilykate paper. I cut out the petals and mounted them onto the stamped flower with dimensionals. The paper itself had a lot of brown lines and so the thin brown edges of the stamp made the petals seem washed out so I took an old olive marker to the edges of the petals. The dots in the center of the flowers are highlighted with a coral cameo marker and match better in person. I dotted stardust Stickles as well. I used my slot punch to create a place for the ribbon to tie through on the left. This is a departure from what I feel comfortable doing but it okay.
I have a class to prep for so don't have time for more personal stamping today.
Thanks for visiting!
