Blogger Swap

Good morning!! My stamping time has been scarce the past several days. We have been busy around the house and yard doing those much needed things. Believe me cleaning my fridge was a MUCH needed thing!! We finally had a few beautiful days so we all tried to spend more time outdoors. DH washed both cars and took the top off his Jeep so we had to take the first topless ride of the season. (froze our tushies off coming home too, LOL) Today is my one day off so I hope to do some stamping later.
I have been holding onto this card for sometime now. It is one I did for a bloggers swap I am in and we got the go ahead to post ours today. The swap should hit my mailbox in the next day or two and I will have more to share with you. I love this lay out, it is simple but adds something extra. I don't have a name for it but is a variation to a trifold I guess. The card is apricot appeal and is cut 5 1/4 x 8 and mounted onto a regal rose panel that is a quarter sheet in size. The front of the card is wheeled with the new Petals jumbo wheel in the SU spring mini catalog using regal rose ink. The fold over panel of regal rose is 3 1/2 x 7. The best way to do the fold is to insert your card stock inside the card, close the front and use a bone folder to score your panel along the right edge of the card. The front part of the panel then folds over your card and you can finish it off however you would like. I used the Polka Dots and Petals stamp set for the flowers. The white is shimmer white card stock. I drew in a couple of celery stems and pierced the others. I set the two flowers with orange eyelets in the center. For the ribbon I used the double rectangle punch and tied my bow through them. The stamped panel is up on dimensionals and ticket corner punched, matted with celery and attached to the front. On the inside of the fold over panel is one of the sentiment stamps from Friendship Flowers set. I also stamped some flowers on the left side. I don't often stamp on the inside of my cards but with this layout it seems a bit like opening a present and the inside is just as fun as the outside. I hope you like!

DH has another interview with a church tomorrow. This is his fourth one and we are hoping this is the church. Keep him in your prayers!
