A Day Late...

but I got it done! Not at all what I thought I would do but this idea was firmly planted in my head all day yesterday. This hanging quilt stamp is another Anna Wight Whipper Snapper design. I got it last week and think it has so many possibilities. The owl is came in a small Hero Arts clear set I picked up last minute. It was at the register when I was checking out, you know how it goes! I love that though he is small, the googlie eyes were still a perfect fit.
Here are the deets on the challenge this month:
Focus: Owls or other flighted bird
Required Element: texture
Restricted element: no bling, rhinestones, dew drops, ect.
For my texture I used textured card stock for the first layer of blanket and paper pieced the flowers and leaves. I also added some details with a black glaze pen. It was a lot of fine cutting to piece the blanket but the result is worth the effort. The scalloped rectangle was cut and embossed with a Nestability die and I thought it went along with the quilt look.
Thanks for stopping by!
