Hello! Today I have a set of cards inspired by cherries. Actually, it started with this fun paper from DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl pad. The tiny cherries are glossy with a bit of glitter on them, yummy! The stiped paper is also from that same pad of paper and I thought it gave it a bit of an old fashioned soda fountain look. The other items that are similar are the celery card base, white ribbon and the frame cardstock which came from a DCWV textured pack of paper. That is where it ends though.
Both stamps are Anna Wight Whipper Snapper designs, Tall Sundae and Bowl of Cherries . In honor of my youngest son, I made the ice cream mint chocolate chip. The "chips" are made with a black glaze pen. He loves cherries and if we were buying him a sundae in real life he would request a heap of them on top. Personally, I think they are gross, lol. The border punch used on the ice cream card is Fiskars Lacy Days of Summer. The sentiment is from the MFT set, How Sweet it Is. On the bowl of cherries card, I used Fiskars Sunburst border punch and framed the image with a Spellbinders scallop die. All coloring on these was done with Copic markers and the cherries on both cards are covered with Crystal Effects for shine.
Cherries are just now coming in season around here and though they are pricey they are worth the occassional splurge!
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!
