I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! DH and I spent several days painting and prepping the kitchen. I am so happy to report that we are now ready for cabinets! Tonight we have a few people coming over to help us with that task, a good thing since we aren't exactly clear on how to do it ;). We took the day off on the 4th to enjoy time with friends. We also did some cherry picking. The orchard we stopped at just opened for the season and the trees were literally dripping with cherries. They were clustered like grapes and oh so beautiful to behold. We quickly picked 8 pounds worth. My youngest son and I picked strawberries last week. I love that we can do things like this together.
I haven't had a chance to make anything new this week but thought I would share a quick card I made a few weeks ago. A family member (Hi Jen!) wanted to make some cards to let people know they are moving. I made a couple samples for her as ideas. This one uses Cornish Heritage Farms Pretty Birds set. The bird is paper pieced with the same paper I used on the bottom and then placed onto a dimensional. Even with the little bit of cutting, I figured this was a card that could be made fairly easily in quantity.
Thanks for stopping by!
stamps: CHF Pretty Birds
paper: SU host prints pack, chocolate chip, vanilla
ink: burnt umber Palette, creamy caramel
other; dimensional
