Clean and Simple

One of today's Dare to Get Dirty challenges is hosted by the queen herself...JulieHRR. She is indeed the queen of clean and simple cards. She asked me to be one of the sample makers and I happily agreed. I love layers but I am also a big fan of simple. Simple does not need to equal boring or flat or uninteresting!! When you are doing a no-layer card you need to create visual interest in other ways:
** your color choices
** perhaps some texture with embossing (on my sample I embossed just a portion with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and added some embossed lines using my Scor-Pal.)
** let your focal image be the focal image, limit your embellishments

These kinds of cards are great for mass producing or for grouping for a gift. I left any sentiments off my card this time but one could be easily added on the front or on the inside.
