Yummy Cupcake

Here is the last post I have to share until DH returns with our camera. The picture isn't even that great but I scraping the bottom of the barrel here, lol!

This another 4 1/4" square card using the Wagon Full of Fun set. Again, I watercolored using inks and a water brush. Actually, I used markers too. When you are working with good watercolor paper, you have the ability to move color around quite a bit without the paper pilling up. For the frosting, I first applied a light layer of pretty in pink ink over the whole thing. I let it dry a few minutes and then used my regal rose marker to go over all the edges. I went back over the darker ink with the water brush to blend it all. When I was done I added some Diamond Dust glitter to the frosting, it is quite chunky so it really looks like sugar. The sentiment is from the Level 1 hostess set currently available.
Today is the last work day for the mission team in Mississippi. Saturday morning they begin their 2 day journey back home. Wednesday they went to visit the Katrina Memorial and enjoyed some Cajun food including crawfish and alligator! They got word that one of the homeowners is having their FEMA trailer hauled away next week so they are in a mad dash to complete her house so she has a place to go. I can't imagine the relief to know you finally have a home again after 3 1/2 years!
Thanks for stopping!

I seriously need a new cupcake set, and this sentiment is so fun and perfect! I don't think I'll be earning any hostess sets, though... Love the chunky glitter on this! It does look very sugary. By the way, 3 1/2 years is way too long to be without a real home!
