It's Friday!

And it is my anniversary! Greg and I have enjoyed 16 wonderful years so far. We will be going out to lunch to celebrate. After several days home recuperating I am looking forward to getting out for a bit.

A few weeks ago I ordered some Bella's and had a chance this week to work with one of them. Isn't she a doll? Those curls make me happy. Glad they are on her head and not mine though. (Speaking of curls and totally off subject. Do any of you watch the Biggest Loser? I was so sad that they cut off Daris' curls, they were cute and totally matched his personality!! I say grow 'em back. Now Michael's curls, that is another story entirely, they needed to go!) Anyway, I used Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils on this one. The PP is from October Afternoon. Yes, I own other paper, I am just totally hooked on the new OA packs! At least I am not hoarding it, lol. To break up all the green I used the Martha Stewart fence punch for a border. She has already gone out in the mail as a thank you. I had so many to send for Spring Fest and was able to get all but a few out yesterday.
Speaking of Spring Fest, I am not done sharing about our event yet. I created a display to showcase different ways to use dies. I love that the Sizzix dies cut through so many different kinds of materials. Here is just a sampling of things you can make...
It may be hard to see them all, so here is a short list:
-wool felt or fabric pins (circles #2 die)
-spiral flower pin made with felt and chenille (tablesetting die)
-carnation felt pin (scallop circle die)
-pin cushion made from wool felt, I felted the heart right into the top (scallop circle and hearts and brackets dies)
-make your own stamps with thick foam (any die but my sample uses the lattice die)
-black and white shrink plastic bracelet, super cute!! (open flower in the baskets and blooms die)
-make your own chipboard buttons (circles #2 die)
-birdhouses and watering can (milk carton die)
-tea pot favor (matchbox die)
-rag purse (purchased on Etsy as I didn't have time or skill to do myself ;)) (scallop square die)
-coffee cup cozy (see same Etsy note above) (baskets and blooms and flower layers dies)
-patriotic box favor (top note die)
-hearts of love gift box (matchbox dies)
-double box favor (box #2 die)
If you are interested in anything up close let me know, I can probably do that.
If you have invested in a Big Shot and dies, make the most of your money! Be creative! Think outside the die!
Thanks for visiting! Have a blessed day.

OMGoodness! They are awesome! Could you tell us how they are made? I have all of the dies but never thought I could make something like the blue carnation. WOW!
