Four years ago Holly McMillan and I tossed around the idea of getting a few local stampers together for a shoebox swap. We were hoping for a turn out of 15 and got 50! Yesterday was our 4th annual Spring Fest in the Buffalo area and we had a glorious day with 85 stampers from 3 states and Canada. By now many of the faces are old friends but we also enjoyed meeting several new people this year. Here is a shot of our group hard at work creating their projects.
Once again we had a phenomenal prize table with items that were both purchased with registration fees and donated by several awesome companies. Everyone went home with a prize. That is always a fun part of the day. Giving things away is cool!!
An event of this size is never a one person affair. I have lots of friends and family that go above and beyond. I {heart} these people, they are so giving of their time and talents. The event was held at my friend Beth's church. She also made these incredible favors for everyone.
Owls were the theme and Beth cased the idea for the owls from here. We filled the insides with tootsie rolls for a mid swap sugar refueling. We wanted them to perch so we stood them up on a spool she wrapped with samples of twine. Awesome! My father-in-law made wooden card stands for all our guests.
I will save some pics of projects another day. For now, I am getting out the bon-bons, putting up my feet and finding a good movie to watch.

It was another awesome stamping affair! I had so much fun seeing all my friends, some of whom I met at this event and only see at this event! Great job by Tracy and all her little elves for a great day!
Ditto! AWESOME day, Tracy!
Wow what wonderful prizes! Wish I didn't live on the other side of the planet and could have come. The owl gifts are so lovely too.
I can't believe I missed it again, I was hoping to come.
Thanks so much for another great time! AND fab favors and prizes and food!!!
Another awesome day! Thanks!
It was a terrific day! I look so forward to it and am always surprised at how fast the day goes! Loved every minute of it from when I started my drive at 7:15 Saturday right down to finishing my left over dinner last night! Thanks, Tracy and all!
Sigh! Oh, how I wish we were back so that I could attend.
such a great time-thanks to you & your team!
Tracy--I was so sorry to have to miss this year's Spring Fest! I was involved in a dinner on Friday night to benefit Aurora House (a hospice house in Spencerport that I volunteer for) and on Sunday I gave a bridal shower. There was no possibility of getting to Spring Fest on the day in between those 2 events! Please keep me on your list for next year!!
oh wow! that looks like such fun!
